On November 27, an event was held in connection with the next anniversary of the Central Election Commission of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which coincided with the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Employees of the Central Election Commission participated in the event.

First of all, the national leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, as well as our martyrs who rose to the height of martyrdom in the battles for the territorial integrity of our republic and died while performing their official duties, were commemorated.

CEC Chairman Ajdar Aliyev, who opened the event with his opening speech, noted the exceptional services of the genius in the establishment and development of our independent state, his rich political heritage, the importance of state management experience, and said that for the first time during the period of independence, the Central Election Commission of the People's Deputies of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was established on December 24, 1991 with the signature of the national leader Heydar Aliyev based on the decision of the Presidium of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

It was emphasized that in the nineties of the last century, the outstanding statesman, who acted as a deputy of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, succeeded in making decisions in the parliament of Nakhchivan that were vital not only for Nakhchivan, but for the whole of Azerbaijan, which stimulated the process of democratization of political life. At the next stage, the National Leader continued the rescue mission that he started in Nakhchivan in Baku and throughout the country.

Then the report of CEC employee Saadat Askerova on the history of CEC and activities was heard.
